Herb Butter Roast Chicken - foolproof method for tender, juicy chicken
Просмотров 11 тыс.8 лет назад
Roasting chicken can sometimes result in moist, tender legs and thighs while leaving a dry, flavorless breast. This usually results from the breast being overcooked before the legs and thighs can finish cooking. By both brining and spatchcocking the chicken, we’re doubly insuring a breast that’s just as tender and juicy as the rest of the chicken. Brining will add extra flavor and moisture to t...

How to make Medovik (Russian honey biscuit layer cake)
Просмотров 76 тыс.8 лет назад
RECIPE BELOW. Medovik (or Medovnik) is a traditional Eastern European honey layer cake. It's similar to an ice box cake, where the cake layers are biscuits that soften from the cream filling in between the layers. The traditional cream fillings are a caramelized condensed milk buttercream (dulce de leche) and a sour cream filling. This recipe shows you my take on both. Honey Biscuit 1 cup (200g...

      i prefer not wasting good beer like that ,what i use is non alcoholic beer since the taste is what you are after or perhaps a good stout or alc beer but not so expensive but even some non alc beers still have 0.5% or more alc so a couple of cans along with wine is good

    Quiches are delicious, I LOVE quiches! I make them from scratch and their wonderful, I love blue cheese too! I also love jacket potatoes with cheese, beans, sweat corn, tuna and butter! How can you go wrong with potatoes or quiches? I don't like curries or spicy food, because they use coriander which I HATE!!! Quiches are so tasty, I could eat them every day and NEVER get tired of them. Potatoes are one of the most delicious vegetables out there, I like a lot of things, but I don't like coriander or parsley, but their EVERYWHERE!

    Many people in the nutrition field also criticize canola oil due to the harsh industrial production process it undergoes. In fact, there is no such thing as a canola plant, and the ‘canola’ name is just a marketing acronym which stands for Canada ola. In case you’re wondering; ‘ola’ apparently means oil However, to get oil out of a seed isn’t as simple as squeezing an olive or a coconut. Therefore, a complex solvent extraction process is necessary, which involves the degumming, bleaching and deodorizing of rapeseeds. Leftover Chemical Residues However, even after this lengthy process the oil still contains trace amounts of hexane, which some people consider a health hazard. The Canola industry argues that production removes virtually all of the solvents. But even so, many people don’t like the idea of consuming residues of toxic chemicals no matter what the dose. This is the same process that other “vegetable” oils such as soybean oil and corn oil go through.

      @@bhaskarkumar4781 150 c is a very low temperature !!!!! Iv been making croissants and puff pastry since eighties of last century , croissants need not less than 200c , puff pastry could be the same but better to give it a little bit more !!! because it needs to boil the water in the butter or margarine then puffing the layers while steaming and evaporating while croissants have yeast in the dough which will aid the dough to rise beside the steam also in between layers , 150 c is not enough !!! your baking puff pastry not spong !!!!!!!!!!!

      Both directions , I mentioned temperature in another r reply here . Sometimes you need to switch off one of the heaters depends on the type of dough , forexample if it is stuffed with cream cheese it needs more than plane one , and might need to turne off the under heater because the steam goes up and keeps temperature less to what is needed for browning then time of baking will be expanded while beneath the baked product is done

    Could you use this in a traditional pie dish and do some decorative crimping in the edges? This is my first time using almond meal/flour for a crust. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

    • @GrubRuffian
      @GrubRuffian 7 лет назад

      It would work in a tart pan like in my chocolate-caramel mousse video. But for something like a glass pie dish, it’s very cookie-like and might be too dense for decorative crimping. I’d recommend using a basic flaky pie crust dough instead.
